During the first half of 2025, the NCad will organise a number of stakeholder meetings dedicated to the global transition to a society without animal experiments. The meetings build on the findings in the recent Evaluation of the 2016 Transition Policy Advice 1.0 and contribute to the drafting of the Transition Policy advice 2.0, which the NCad will issue. In doing so, the NCad seeks to be informed by the insights and views on the future of laboratory animal research from as many stakeholders and interested parties as possible.
In preparation for the stakeholder meetings, the NCad is conducting an open survey. This survey offers you the opportunity to express whether you want to be involved in the follow-up meetings, and/or which elements or topics should definitely be covered.
We hereby cordially invite you to participate in the open survey and share your insights with us.
The process
This survey is the start of a process in which several meetings will be organised in which participants will collectively reflect on several themes. In these meetings, the topics introduced through this survey will form an important basis. It is therefore not necessary to provide extensive views and explanations while completing the survey now. There will be plenty of opportunity for this during the meetings and at other occasions.
More information about the meetings will follow after processing the input from this survey (a rough indication of what the consultation process will look like is provided on the NCad website).
All input will be made public, anonymised where appropriate.
